Vaikunta ekadashi
A Doorway to Heaven 🙏

Pure ecstatic bliss and bless is the abode of our Zen ;
This day, the gates of his abode are open ;

Supreme is all set to open his boon full fist;
Where the cycle of rebirth cease to exist;
Where the wind and waves echo his name ;
Krishna conscious is etched and sketched in each and every frame ;

Where realms of three Gunas are transcended;
Spiritual heights are ascended ;
Here the twitter of the birds sounds as Hari naamam;
The blooms spread fragrance as pranamam .

A boon of salvation begotten for slayed asura by Ekadashi;
Changed the demon Murasura’s Raashi ;

Asuras Madhu and Kaitaba tasted similar dasha;
Moksha granted by Supreme put them in right Disha.
Who in turn requested for Uttara dwaram to be made ;
Thus fulfilling their wish, a path to moksha was laid .
Thus paving way to Vaikunta dwaram once in a year ;
For those who surrender onto this Supreme seer .

With Godha Maayi as our guiding force ;
Let’s shun the ego and attachment that will open his doors .
Lets regard this life and play our role ;
Let attaining Supreme be our ultimate goal ;

Asura Mura abuses Lord Vishnu’s boon;
Dies in the hands of Lord Vishnu’s female form soon;

Lord Vishnu then names this pious form Ekadashi ;
Who in turn seeks the moksha of mura as boon;

Hence from that day, this pious day eleven;
Has turned into a direct passage to heaven;

It’s the day with compassionate glance of the depth of samudhra.
Lord Vishnu is up from yoga nidra;

To seek salvation by surrendering to this auspicious roopam ;
Lord Vishnu opens for us, his Vaikunta dwaram;

His Vaikunta dwaram will shoo away all distress .
Meditating upon Supreme shall lead to spiritual progress.

Fasting this day shall purify the body and soul ;
Shall help one to achieve their righteous goal.
